Namibia: MTN Group to Launch Mobile Money Services

MTN Group is set to launch an MVNO and mobile money services in Namibia during August, Reuters reported, taking the number of markets where the company offers direct financial services to 15.

The operator is already a recognized brand in Namibia through its business services unit, but is yet to make a wider play in the mobile market, which is dominated by former government-owned monopoly MTC.
