The software was released in 1992 as Bank2000, a DOS-based
banking software, and modified for microfinance institutions under the name MicroManager. In 1999, Bank2000 was upgraded to a Windows version called Bankers Realm and a new product was developed called Bankers Realm MFO for microfinance organizations.
