The Imp-Act Consortium is a global group of organizations working to promote and support the management of social performance by MFIs. Its mission is to encourage and enable microfinance institutions to more effectively translate their social mission into practice, and enable donors and policy makers to more effectively understand and assess social performance of their work and that of others. Its activities are focused on:
- Training and supporting MFIs to implement SPM
- Building capacity to support SPM (Local trainers are being trained and certified worldwide)
- Sharing lessons learned and 'good practice'
- Promoting reporting on social performance
The work of the Imp-Act Consortium is supported by the Ford Foundation, CGAP, MicroNed (HIVOS, ICCO, Cordaid and NOVIB) and IFAD.
