Assessment Tools: Institutional Process
These tools help institutions evaluate their intentions, systems and actions to determine whether they have the capacity to attain their social objectives. The tools included here can be used as social audits.
CERISE Social Performance Indicators Initiative: The CERISE Social Performance Indicators (SPI) tool assesses the social performance of institutions by evaluating their intentions and actions.
MFC Quality Audit Tool (QAT): The QAT was designed by the MicroFinance Centre (MFC) in Poland in conjunction with the Imp-Act Consortium to correspond with social rating methodology used by M-CRIL and Microfinanza Rating.
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI): The GRI aims to make sustainability reporting as routine and comparable as financial reporting is by all organizations—not just MFIs or even just financial institutions. The GRI uses a set of core metrics designed to be applicable to all business enterprises, sector-specific metrics for various types of enterprises, and a uniform format for reporting information on a company's sustainability performance.
User Reviews of each of the above tools are available at the Social Performance Task Force website.
