The OXUS Group was created by Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development(ACTED)'s in July 2005 with the aim to fight poverty through the provision of microfinance services to the working poor. The OXUS group is committed to protecting and improving the lives of its clients while achieving solid financial results. The OXUS Group’s mission is to fight poverty through the provision of microfinance services to the working poor and aims at empowering disadvantaged people, integrating a commercial approach into a broad human development framework.

The OXUS Group worldwide offers adapted and socially oriented financial services to populations who are often excluded from the traditional banking system. OXUS Development Network, the Group’s consulting company, strives to provide OXUS MFIs and others with technical assistance, while maintaining the Group’s dynamism and developing it with the launch of new MFIs in Uzbekistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
