Housed at the Africa Development Bank, the Making Finance Work for Africa Partnership is an initiative to support the development of African Financial Sectors. A unique platform for African governments, the private sector, and development partners, it coordinates financial sector development interventions across the continent, avoiding duplication and maximizing developmental impact.

MFW4A's activities focus on 3 core areas: donor coordination, knowledge management and dissemination and stakeholder engagement. It convenes donor working groups on development themes such as 'access to finance', maintains forums, blogs and online hubs that focus on relevant news and data and engages with stakeholders to identify needs and help align available resources, interventions and expertise with these needs.
