Its areas of expertise include: community reinvestment and economic development policies and practices, the financial and insurance services industries, the impact of high cost housing and consumer loans, community development financial institutions, and the influence of financial conditions on family well-being. It works with community organizations, financial institutions, foundations, government agencies including regulatory bodies, the media, and others to promote its goals.
