Rural Agency for Development (Rafode) is a new, innovative, microfinance institution (MFI) based in Kisumu, Kenya. It provide highly targeted, small, low-interest loans. Rafode provide free training, not on organizational policies and procedures, but on business development and entrepreneurship. It promote savings, not as collateral against our loans, but as an exercise in financial responsibility. Rafode mission is to be a national financial institution governed by a spirit of integrity and service, provide financial products and services that meet the needs of the poor and empower clients to escape poverty, realize dreams, and transform their lives.
