Lupin Human Welfare and Research Foundation is a Non Government Organisation actively supported by a corporate sector company, namely Lupin Laboratories Ltd., Bombay. The Foundation has the main goal of promoting a process of sustainable development in selected villages through an approach of participatory planning and management. The objectives that the Foundation tries to meet in order to reach the above goal are as follows:

• To promote economic development of village communities (in the sectors of agriculture, animal husbandry, rural industries,handicrafts and infrastructure);
• To strengthen the process of human resource development (health, education, cultural and moral values and skill development);and
• To restore ecological balance in the village environment (forestry, water resources, pasture lands, agricultural and other waste lands, etc.)
