Lakshya was registered as an organization in 2005 with the aim of fighting poverty and supporting rural entrepreneurship through the use of technology. It works to empower rural communities through capacity building and training in microenterprise development, microfinance, renewable energy development, and information and communication technology. It also provides training and support services to self help groups.
