The German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut for Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) is a research institute and think tank for global development and international development policy worldwide. The DIE's research profile combines research, consulting and professional training. DIE builds bridges between theory and practice and works within international research networks. It undertakes consulting and training activities on the basis of independent research, as well as conducts studies on development policy issues for public institutions in the Germany and abroad and advises them on current aspects of cooperation between industrialized and developing countries.
