The Centre for microFinance (CmF) was established in 2005 to strengthen the microfinance sector in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It aims to catalyze the sector through the infusion of innovative ideas, conducting quality research on microfinance issues, and providing technical and managerial services to agencies that are engaged in delivering microfinance services to the poor. Its objectives are to:

• Increase the outreach of microfinance services to the poor; 
• Improve the quality of Self Help Groups; 
• Promote innovations in the sector; and 
• Create a conducive policy environment for microfinance in the state.
