Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) is a state-owned bank in Indonesia, with most extensive branch network covering the entire nation. It also has an extensive network of more than 4,000 retail outlets at the sub-district level, known as BRI village units (Unit Desa). Unit Desas operate on a full commercial basis, with each unit acting as a semiautonomous entity serving micro and small customers, predominantly in rural areas. BRI offers loans, voluntary savings products, fund transfer services as well as training and consulting services.
