Banco del Desarrollo is a privately-owned commercial bank in Chile. Its subsidiary, Bandesarrollo Microempresas, provides financial services to the informal sector including loans, voluntary savings, insurance and money transfer services. Its mission is to "be a development instrument for microentrepreneurs and for the microentreprise sector in Chile, and to support their progress."
