The Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development (ACTED) is an international relief agency based in Afghanistan. ACTED implements projects in the areas of emergency relief, food security, health, economic development, education and training, microfinance, advocacy and cultural promotion. It has been engaged in microfinance since 1997. It mobilizes local solidarity groups, agricultural unions, parent/teacher associations etc. that receive assistance. The organization is active in 23 countries of Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
