The Centre for Tribals and Rural Development Trust  is a nonprofit organization that works on projects aimed at promoting and strengthening the livelihood, welfare and development of poor tribal and rural communities in the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu, India. The organization’s work with self help groups has included organizing them, enhancing their capabilities (through training in accounting, book keeping, and group management), introducing new ways of improving their income and linking them to banks, government schemes, markets and other health, welfare and economic services.
