Muslim Aid’s microfinance programme is based on Shariah principles which emphasize equitable and justifiable resource distribution and social development. The program is purely social mission intended to economically empower poor and low income people in developing countries. The Islamic microfinance products that Muslim Aid is presently implementing include Qard-hasana, Murabaha, Bi-muajjal and Musharaka. Microfinance is a flagship programme of Muslim Aid aims to break the vicious circle of poverty which is characterized by social and economic deprivation. 

MA recognizes that people trapped in absolute poverty cannot feed themselves or buy food for their children because they do not have money. The provision of small loans for income generation coupled with skills training helps supplement their household income. For this reason, Muslim Aid provides interest-free small loans to poor people with a minimal administration charge and small investment with a mutually agreed share of marginal profit and with flexible means of payment options without any collateral. Presently Muslim Aid implementing Islamic Microfinance in Seven countries and serving 68,000 (this number is increasing gradually) poor and needy people with small loan and skill training.
