LAZNAS BMT ICMI Foundation is an institution in charge of developing new and BMTs strengthen all the existing networks in order to perform the function (Baitul Maal) BMT. The foundation (National Institution of Zakat Baitul Maal wat Tamwil) was intended to be a national umbrella for BMTs (Baitul Maal wat Tamwils) throughout the country, who once took the role as a plus-governmental organization development institution national institution of Zakat.

Since its establishment in 2002 in Jakarta until now, LAZNAS BMT ICMI has taken an important role in Indonesia in initiating new BMTs, BMTs strengthen existing ones, strengthening human resources, information technology, mentoring and facilitation of financing, and system management software technology-based and community empowerment in the areas of sustainable economic development. These programs can be run by LAZNAS BMT ICMI because of the support co-partnership of the Department of Department, Banking, Enterprise, Provincial and Local governments. Competence and expertise:

• Consulting services in the areas of economic empowerment of small communities, community development, a corporate social responsibility, Islamic economics and Islamic MFIs;
• Human resource development field of MFIs (BMT) and SMEs through management training, character building, team building, accounting sharia, Islamic finance;
• Adjacent communities MFIs, cooperatives Islamic financial services;
• Growth and development of Islamic microfinance institutions, cooperatives and SMEs Islamic financial services;
• Studies and research in Islamic finance, charity institutions, and SMEs.
