Habitat for Humanity Philippines (HFHP), established in 1988, is a non-profit Christian ministry working to help build responsible and self-reliant communities by enabling Filipino families in need to acquire affordable, decent, and durable homes. HFHP's work is accomplished at the community level by affiliates - independent, locally run, non-profit organizations that coordinate all aspects of Habitat home building in their respective communities. It has built houses nationwide, with its affiliates, local management councils (LMCs) and project coordinating councils (PCCs).
HFHP is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI), founded in 1976 by the late Millard Fuller and his wife Linda. The headquarters is in Americus, Georgia, USA. It builds houses to make housing more accessible to those who are in need and to those who are willing to assume the role of a responsible homepartner.
