Liberty Development Foundation (LIDEFO), a registered Community Based Organisation (CBO) established in 2002 in the Kasese District of western Uganda is solely run by volunteers, aims to support practices that accelerate the progress of human development with a view to eradicate poverty through sustainable development. LIDEFO has three main target areas through which it strives to make a difference: - The Liberty College, Beekeeping, Women, and Youth Micro Enterprise Development Groups.

The LIDEFO Women and Youth Micro Enterprise Development Group empower the women and youth within the community to acquire training and education in life skills and business operations, which would consecutively enable income generation at individual and household level. It attends weekly workshops to gain business understanding and enhance their life skills. Workshops on savings, business planning, and recordkeeping, up selling, time management and family planning has been conducted. The group operates a revolving fund that enables members to collectively save and loan money from the fund.
