Pragati Multipurpose Co-operative Ltd., a society working with rural people to upscale their socio-economic life and quite emphasized on strengthening people and CBOs for development innovations to enable them to eradicate extreme poverty and promote self-reliance in poor communities through providing microfinance support. However, the prime focus of the society at present is to make the rural womenfolk economically empowered through microcredit service with emphasis on IGP and livelihood options. Its mission is to provide financial support services to the poor, particularly women, for viable productive income generation enterprises enabling them to reduce their poverty. Its objectives are:

• Provide financial services predominantly to poor women;
• Enable the rural people availing of loan for various productive purposes;
• Include the savings and banking habits among the rural people and particularly of SHG members;
• Provide them economic prosperity through loan/credit system;
• Create opportunities for self- employment for the underprivileged;
• Train rural poor people in simple skills and enable them to utilize the available resources and contribute to employment and income generation in rural areas.
