Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating, evaluating, and replicating innovative solutions to poverty and policy problems worldwide. It help reduce poverty by designing, implementing, and testing the effectiveness of innovative new approaches to the problems of development that take into account the latest findings from economic research. IPA aims to fill two voids that currently exist in development work: insufficient evaluation of what works - and why - in poverty reduction, and insufficient use of research results to develop and scale effective interventions. IPA disseminates information about what works, and what does not, to people and organizations dedicated to working with the poor, so that it can be put to practical use.
