Grama Vikasana Seva Samiti (Kurichithanam Development Society-KDS) has been practicing a “bottom up approach” in project planning and implementation through the microlevel organizations like SHGs. KDS has both men and women SHGs. The mission of KDS is of providing food and shelter to the poor, the old, the orphaned, the differently able, widows, victims of calamities, victims of sexual exploitation and atrocities and providing a livelihood to those belonging to the weaker sections. It proposes to raise resources from likeminded individuals, NRIs, government agencies and funding organizations in India and abroad.
