MAPLE Microdevelopment (Microfinance for the Alleviation of Poverty through Learning and Entrepreneurship) is an NGO based in Eugene, Oregon currently developing pilot programs for loan models and business curriculum in rural areas of Uganda. Through small loans and educational resources, MAPLE's objective is to improve the well being of individuals without access to a formal banking system. MAPLE strives to be among other organizations in reaching the United Nation's millennium development goals, by working with local communities and individuals in order to meet their expressed needs.
