1. How do I apply for a job or internship that I find in the Gateway's Job Listings?
If you wish to apply for a specific opportunity, or if you have questions about a job or internship posting, we encourage you to follow up with the contact listed in the opportunity posting. Contact and application information appears toward the bottom of each job or internship opportunity posting.
When applying for jobs or internships, please say that you found the posting on the Microfinance Gateway.
2. When do job and internship postings expire?
Most employers include a closing date with their job or internship opportunity, which appears near the top of the posting. If no closing date is provided, we estimate that the posting will expire four weeks from the date it was posted.
3. Can I submit my CV to the Gateway's Job Listings?
The Gateway does not accept CVs on behalf of the organizations that post job or internship opportunities on the site. We encourage you to create a profile in our Consultant Database.
4. Can I receive job and internship postings by e-mail?
You can sign-up to receive our weekly Jobs Bulletin by email. The Jobs Bulletin delivers a weekly digest of the job and internship opportunities posted on the Gateway's Job Listings.
5. How do I submit a job or internship opportunity to the Job Listings?
You can post your organization's job or internship opportunity by filling out the Job Opportunity Submission Form. Once you have submitted the form your job opportunity will be reviewed by a representative of the Gateway. If all of the details are in order, your job opportunity will be posted within 3 business days.
6. Which job or internship opportunities should be posted on the Gateway?
Job and internship opportunities posted on the Gateway must target individuals with experience and/or interest in advancing financial services for the poor. This may include opportunities in microfinance/SME finance, regulation/supervision, financial inclusion, donors, impact investing, training, audit, monitoring and evaluation, products, research, etc.
If the opportunity you wish to post does not relate to financial inclusion, you may wish to post it on a general international development jobs site, such as:
