This presentation reviews the performance of the United nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) in 2005, and presents its perspective for the coming year. It presents:

The presentation describes the framework for a strategic partnership with the United Nations Development program (UNDP).It concludes by listing key challenges and constraints in achieving its goals. These include:

  • Participating in institutional dialogue on United Nations Reform and system-wide coherence issues;
  • Obtaining core and non-core funding at country level, program level and for geographic and thematic initiatives;
  • Adjusting growth and expansion plan to available financial resources;
  • Completing strategic partnership with UNDP;
  • Providing administrative support for all UNCDF activities form the budget provided by UNDP;
  • Managing the decentralization process.
