Market research: conducted desk and field research on the potential market for microenterprise financing in the city of La Plata and surrounding rural areas; a survey among 500 microenterprises was undertaken to ascertain product design. A financing program was launched on the basis of the research and product design conclusions. The experience became a showcase; its impact was published by Micrónica (a local specialized periodical)
Consultant, Secretaría de Agricultura, Ganadería, Pesca y Alimentación, Argentina (May 2006 - July 2006)
MFIs technology: conducted research among MFIs operating under different legal frameworks in Argentina (ONG, Coop, Regional Credit Card Company, Finance Company) to make an assessment of operating costs of MFIs in Argentina. The conclusion of the research was that, irrespective of the legal framework, the use of crecit cards as a financing instrument substantially reduced the operating costs of MFIs while significantly increasing the time efectiveness and accuracy of management reports.
Advisor, Financiera Familiar S.A., Paraguay (July 1998 thorugh December 1998)
MFI valuation: together with staff of Financiera Familiar (Paraguay) a microlending private entity, in 1997 developed a valuation model for the company which is currently in use. Together with Citicorp local staff conducted due diligence of Banco Sol in Bolivia and estimated the value of 33% of its stock which was offered for sale (1997).

Impact evaluation: led preparation of a report to evaluate the impact of State-driven microenterprise development on employment in Argentina. The report involved desk and field research. Its conclusions showed that State financing of microenterprises led to longer hours worked by the beneficiaries rather than direct employment increase.
