The Microcredit Summit Campaign and Gema PKM Indonesia will co-host the Asia-Pacific Regional Microcredit Summit 2008 from July 28-30, 2008 in Bali, Indonesia. The Summit will be the 12th conference in a series of global and regional summits organized by the Microcredit Summit Campaign. Over 1,000 delegates from more than 40 countries are expected to gather for the Summit. The participants will assess progress toward the Campaign's 2015 goals and discuss obstacles and solutions to achieving these objectives.
The Summit will feature:
- 4 commissioned papers discussed in plenary sessions and a locally-organized plenary;
- Presentation of two Institutional Action Plans in plenary sessions and additional presentations in breakout Council meetings;
- 3 sets of workshop sessions at the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels;
- 5 intensive day-long courses on a variety of subjects;
- At least 12 additional associated sessions organized by delegates.
